Great 100 Nurses of Marion County 2018

On November 16, 2018, during NATIONAL NURSE PRACTITIONER WEEK, the

Marion County Nurses Association will host a Great 100 Nurses of Marion County Celebration

The Great 100 of Marion County is a peer recognition celebration honoring the nursing profession by:

• Recognizing the importance of Registered Nurses in diverse practice settings

• Positively impacting the image of nursing and nursing as a profession
• Acknowledging 100 Marion County Nurses annually who demonstrate excellence in practice and commitment to their profession
• Contributing funds for scholarships for Registered Nurse education for Marion County candidates

The event will take place at the Ewers Century Center on the College of Central Florida campus in Ocala Florida. Marion County Nurses Associatioin, Inc. will be holding the event cosponsored by Ocala Regional Health system Munroe regional medical center, and the College of Central Florida

Blinded applications of Great 100 Candidates will be screened by the Great 100 Selections Committee, a jury of nursing peers. We will begin accepting nominations during Nurse Week starting on May 6 2018; deadline for submission is SEPTEMER 10 2018.

We have not had such an event since 2004 and we are all excited to again put nursing in the spotlight; we hope also to raise scholarship money for local nursing student candidates. That said, this event cannot be successful without community involvement! we are looking for additional support from the community in order to make fundraising a success.

How you can participate…

• We are requesting a minimum $500 donation in exchange for table space from our pharmaceutical       and corporate supporters.       Marion County Nurses Association, Inc. is a non-profit, 501 c3 organization) Please sign on and tell all of your corporate friends about this opportunity to give back to nurses!
• Monetary donations for the scholarship with checks made out to Marion County Nurses Association, Inc.
• Donation of other gifts, for example: an item for the silent auction to be held at the event.
• Labor, such as helping sell tickets to the event, helping to promote the event, working at the event
• Nominating a great nurse! Forms are on the website for printing and /or can be submitted electronically.
