Marion County Nurses Association

Health Policy SIG FNA meeting TONIGHT May 14th!

Posted over 5 years ago by Mary Clark

Dear Health Policy-SIG Members,

The 2019 Membership Assembly is coming up and the Reference Committee is seeking resolutions that will become the official stance of the Florida Nurses Association. As the Health Policy SIG, what issues should be discussed by the Membership Assembly?

Some recent issues that have come across our radar include:

  • Exposure to Surgical Smoke
  • Pay for Preceptors
  • Personal hygiene and feminine products for women in prison
  • Opioid Crisis
  • Healthcare for the Underserved
  • Hepatitis A on the Rise in Florida
  • Support of Nalaxone Education
  • Resurgence of Measles/Immunizations
  • What other topics have arisen in your area of practice?

The process for submitting a Reference Proposal is found here:

Procedure for Submitting a Reference Proposal

Let's discuss the Health Policy SIG as driver of issues for FNA to address.
